Everything you need to know about Giba Storage Durban

1. WHAT SIZE STORAGE UNITS DO YOU OFFER?

We intend to have a variety of units but our standard unit is similar to the size of a standard garage (5.52m x 2.78m) and has a minimum height of 2.7m  We are still constructing units and would be willing to build to variations of this size.

2. HOW DO I RESERVE A UNIT?

Units are allocated on a “first come first served basis”. You can book online or by visiting/ phoning the office during office hours.
A unit will be reserved once we receive your signed lease agreement and payment of the first month’s rent.

3. HOW DO I PAY?

We provide flexible payment method options including cash, EFT or credit card (Visa, Master and American Express) alternatively for convenience, you can prepay for longer term rentals.

4. WHEN CAN I GAIN ACCESS TO MY UNIT AND IS THERE A CHARGE TO ACCESS MY UNIT?

Access to your unit is free at all times. The Gate is manned 24/7 and the office is open during working hours:
i. Monday to Friday: 07h00-17h00
ii. Saturdays: 07h00-13h00
Our web site is designed to take online bookings should you wish to book your unit after hours.

5. HOW ARE THE STORAGE UNITS LOCKED?

When you book & pay for your unit, you will be supplied with a swipe card to gain access into the Storage Park. You will need to supply your own padlock. Access to Giba Storage is through a security gate that is manned 24/7. The storage unit is completely self-contained and no one else can see into or gain access to your unit

6. CAN ANY OTHER PEOPLE ACCESS MY UNIT IF I AUTHORISE THEM TO?

You can authorize others to access your unit as long as prior arrangements are made directly with Giba Storage, and the person(s) accessing your unit are able to identify themselves at the security gate (ID required), have your key & your access card.

7. HOW MANY DAYS NOTICE DO I NEED TO GIVE TO CANCEL THE RENTAL OF THE UNIT?

One month’s written notice, i.e. 30 days, is required to cancel your lease.

8. WHAT DO I DO ABOUT INSURANCE?

You can arrange with your own insurance Brokers or we can arrange competitive rates for you?

9. HOW LONG CAN I RENT A UNIT FOR?

You can rent a unit for as long as you want! The units are leased on a month to month basis. They renew automatically on the first day of each month unless you have given one month’s written notice.
